	Craft cidermaking in the UK would be ‘devastated’ if plans to curb alcohol misuse as currently proposed by the main parties were to be implemented.

	Coventry Beer Festival Friday 5th - Saturday 6th March 95 beers (special beers from local breweries) plus Cider/Perry + Country Wines. Open: 12noon-4pm, then 6pm-11pm Fri/Sat. Admission: £1 lunch, £2 evening - free for card-carrying CAMRA members at all times. Glass hire £2 (refundable). Food available all sessions. 01/03/2010 - Sheaf and Sickle
	This house is under new management and currently serves a very good pint of Abbott. Spitfire is also on tap, and there is scope within the tenacy agreement for a third cask beer, and I have suggested to the landlady that one of the Purity ales would be ideal, giving a local but prize-winning and tangy alternative to the connoisseur's choice. The new hosts are also embarking on the provision of homely cooking after their successful launch on Sunday. Worth checking out.

	The date has been changed from 20th March to Wednesday 24th March 2010.

24/02/2010 - Pub of the Year - The Raglan
	The Raglan Arms has been voted Rugby CAMRA pub of the year for the second year running. Presentation will take place on Wednesday 24th March at 8.30pm at The Raglan Arms.

	Victoria Inn Winter Beer Festival starts midday on Thursday January 14th and will run through to Sunday 17th. There will be 10 real ales, all winter warmers with ABV's 5.0% and above.

	Friday's minibus social had to be cancelled due to the weather conditions. It will be rearranged for a future date.
